National Vanguard was only able to squeeze out 20 people to their National Conference in Elmwood Park, on May 13, 2006, and considering who came out to it that says a lot about the decline of the neo-Nazis over the past few years. There were those that are known only to folks who follow this kind of thing, and then there were two names that everyone knows. One was David Duke. The other was Prussian Blue, the two Nazi twins that have been all over the place since they appeared on ABC's 20/20 program. While the twins stood in the parking lot with big sunglasses on watching the counter protesters, their mother April Gaede decided to engage some (including DLJ) in conversation. April has been in our backlog for some time because we were trying to find a way to write her bio without attacking her kids. While we are still cautious about how we approach this, we decided not to worry about it all that much. It is April's ass that needs to be put on the grill anyway.
April is of German and Irish extraction. We note this for a reason. She told us that her father Bill Gaede was the first one in their family to marry outside the German lineage. He still married white, so it's all good, but it still caused some issues in her family for a time, and she still think it would have been better if he stayed within the culture. Raising his family in Fresno, CA, Bill is a rancher who a few articles as well as that ABC story noted him branding horses with swastikas. April went on to college, dropped out, then at age 20 married Kris Richard Lingelser, a man she once described as a pot-smoking Icelandic pole-vaulter. From this union Lynx and Lamb were spawned in 1992. April was a little wild back in those days though. Two years later she decided to try and win a radio contest by riding a horse through the streets wearing nothing but a cowboy hat, boots, G-string, bunny tail, and a pair of bumper stickers slapped across her breasts. That landed her in jail for indecent exposure. Things might have been wilder still on the homefront, because the marriage didn't last too long. Claiming that their relationship turned violent, she filed a restraining order against Kris in November 1996, and they divorced three months later. April rebounded with another marriage, which went south in 2001, and is now married to husband #3, Bakersfield, CA schoolteacher Mark Harrington (sometimes he uses the fake last lame "Neufeldt"). Yes you read that correctly. Not only are their children being brainwashed by their crap, apparently they have access to yours if you live in Bakersfield!
In 2001, April joined the National Alliance, and she brought her home-schooled little moppets Lamb and Lynx with her. Within the year, the girls made their national television debut on a VH1 special on hate music, which was more like a Resistance Records infomercial to anyone that saw it. Soon they were on the cover of that label's magazine and going all over the place with April playing the role of stage mom. Their shtick is to play folksy versions of Skrewdriver songs, although April says their new album will mostly songs they wrote. All three even managed to score a movie credit courtesy of some low budget horror film called Darkwalker. You gotta love April Gaede for allowing her nazi children to be put in a movie as "creepy twins", and if that isn't typecasting we don't know what is. April is also in the movie as "Mrs. Hobb". Oh, all of this shows up on the Internet Movie Database, and there are comments clamming April Gaede and her daughters, not to mention the neo-Nazi response justifying their beliefs, as well as the obligatory free speech cop-out.
All the hell around Prussian Blue began around the time they were supposed to play a county fair, and when people found out what kind of musical group they were, they were disinvited. That got them a segment on ABC Primetime, and everything really exploded. Soon they were being interviewed by all sorts of magazines, and being talked about everywhere. Some media outlets, in their never-ending quest for the sensational story, have even allowed themselves, much like VH1 did with their hate rock special, to become advertisements for Prussian Blue, agreeing to conditions for interviews like how the story could not have references to hate or Nazis. That is what Teen People did, and when those conditions were made public, folks cried foul, and the story was killed.
No one has a kind word to say about them, and many especially take it out on their mother April, many saying she is brainwashing her kids and should have them taken away. There was at least one attempt to make that happen, when thw twins' father Kris Lingelser said he was not too keen about their mother's parenting habits, particularly when it involved using them as tools for violent hate groups. In addition, April was planning to bolt out to Montana, and he was especially not too happy about that. Meanwhile National Vanguard and Stormfront are painting Lingelser as a crack head, and are did everything they can to keep their gravy train from leaving the station. While all this was going on, the backlash was just cranking up. Both EBay and Paypal cut off their ability to sell cds via the internet on their website, and the group's infamy was hurting April Gaede's efforts big time. Mark Harrington has sold their house and they are stayed up around Fresno, California by April's parents. Eventually the case went April's way, and she was allowed to keep custody. They all eventually managed to make it out to Kalispell, MT, which caused yet another series of issues as the community railed against their presence.
Meanwhile April is still trying to spawn more kids. She has one other besides the twins, a two-year-old daughter named - expect this kid to have a shitty upbringing - Dresden. There is something interesting about her desire for more kids, however. April is a carrier of cystic fibrosis. She does not have the disease herself (well, she says she doesn't), but she can pass it off to her offspring. Being a eugenics fanatic, this will pose a problem should she have a child that ends up with the disease. You see, that's a genetic defect, and a no-no in Nazi Land. To date, this hasn't happened - or rather she is not saying it has happened - and we really hope it never does, because if you think Lynx and Lamb have it rough, what do you think is going to happen to a child of April Gaede's with Down's Syndrome?
Lynx and Lamb are not the problem. April Gaede is. When we go onto various sites to do research and we see comments on blogs about Prussian Blue talking about bashing their heads in, that they are whores, bimbos, sluts, etc. That's a problem, and folks need to lay off that shit. When that happened on our discussion board, we deleted the thread. It is a shameful thing what happened to Lynx and Lamb, but in the end they did not create the world they are being brought up in. Their mother did, and it is the only one they know. April Gaede has proven herself to be a worthless individual in every respect of the word. DLJ and April had a rather decent conversation in Elmwood Park, NJ a few years back but does not mean we will forget that she is a piece of shit - that needs to be flushed.
Now that has became a rather apt metaphor as of 2011, when everything for April - including her so-called "mind" - went down the crapper. In the years since she moved to Kalispell, she has been trying to get like-minded folks to move up with her. Indeed, there has been more than a few who have come up, and she has held movie events at the public library to scores of protest (she was arrested at one point for assault during one of them) so now she's talking even more out of her ass. Thing is, her meal ticket hadn't been heard from in years. Lamb and Lynx had not been in the public eye all that much, and folks just attributed it to them trying to live a normal life or whatever. Then in July 2011, a story in a British website called the Daily reported that the twins were out of the White Power scene and if they are into politics at all were more into advocating for medicinal marijuana! That got a mixed response from the WP's, so April went in spin mode, saying that the twins were manipulating the media into making them believe that they were not white supremacists anymore. "Lynx just now was sitting on my bed complaining 'when I said I loved multiculturalism and diversity' I meant that I wanted our diversity to be preserved and I think that multiple races and cultures need to be preserved, not all mixed together," she wrote, using a spin that white supremacists have been using on the diversity discussion. "'I want to have blond haired blue eyed babies mom.'" As of press time, this is the most anyone has heard from Lamb and Lynx, as both of them keep a low profile as they deal with medical conditions each of them have from cancer to scoliosis, in addition to other ailments that have prompted the support for medicinal marijuana.
On July 22, a man in Oslo, Norway went on a shooting spree in town and later in a Workers' Youth League summer camp, killing 69 people including teenagers. The man Anders Breivik, had written a 1500-page manifesto where he says he regards Islam and "cultural Marxism" as the enemy, and argues for the violent annihilation of "Eurabia" and multiculturalism, to preserve a Christian Europe. This got him a lot of love for people on the far right, and that included April Gaede, who has always maintained a stance that she simply wants to be left alone with her precious white race. Now she is about fucking with everyone else, writing this on a white supremacist blog:
"When you have seen the raw hatred in the eyes of the enemy for loving your race and your people it helps to put all this in perspective. This last year, April of 2010 I had a very enlightening experience regarding the enemy.Two months later, we are treated to an item in Kalispel's newpaper the Daily Inter Lake about how police had to respond to a local thrift store because "a known white nationalist" approached someone "and told him she was offended by his Star of David and that he delivered someone’s baby." Needless to say, the "known white nationalist" was April, and she told supporters that she was pissed that the doctor she went after, who was Jewish, wore her Star of David when she delivered the baby of her white supremacist friends in June:
"I used to think that they were like us in the sense that they thought they had the moral high ground too, they had a different perspective but they would still play within the rules. When my husband and I were assaulted trying to attend a film showing in the basement of a public library, and the middle aged women and men involved blatantly lied about what happened, saying what they KNEW to be a lie just to get us thrown in jail, I learned something important. They are willing to lie, cheat, steal and do anything, they have no limits to the dishonestly they will commit, in order to hurt us. They will try to get us thrown in jail, take our children, take our homes, prevent us from working and supporting our families, and they have NO moral code when it comes to hurting us.
"It became a cathartic and freeing moment for me when I realized this. That is why I shed no tears for those killed. I fight for the win and ANYTHING that hurts any of the enemy is a good thing."
"...(W)hen I saw the doc in the thrift store I went up to her and said hello and told her that she needed to be more sensitive because she really offended them and the hole (sic) family when she wore that to deliver the baby," she wrote. "She said she was a proud Joo (sic). I said well are you not proud today, you are not wearing your star of David, you didnt wear it all the times you saw Kat before the birth and you didnt wear it after, in fact nobody has seen you wear it except on that one day you birthed their baby. They were upset. She tried to shake my hand, I refulsed and kept my arms folded because I didnt want to let her say I touched her. Then I turned and left. NO yelling, no fight, she chased me out into the parking lot and tried to flag me down, I drove by and waved at her, Lynx and Lamb were in the car as witnesses that she was obviously not afraid, she was trying to talk more to me. I think it is funny that she called the cops."
Here's the real funny part. There's a Facebook page titled April Gaede Needs to Be Stopped! where some of her supporters have been coming on saying that they do no more than get together and make cookies and milkshakes, trying to suggest that folks need to leave HER alone! But now it seems that Gaede is actually the one picking the fights. Kalispel has shown over and over again however that this is one fight they don't mind waging. The only reason why April and her crew have been left alone this much was because they have bothered anyone as much as she is apparently trying to now. If she doesn't get a grip, something tells us that we are going to have some rather interesting stories to tell about her in the future.
